  • Late at night, I realized that while it’s still in its infancy, it’s a great app if you need anything. This is a BB oriented J2ME mail validator that works with generic IMAP including SSL support! It took me a whole 3 minutes to install it, and everything worked.

    Main page (screenshots below):
    BlackBerry LogicMail at (http://logicmail.sourceforge.net/)

    Installing LogicMail (http://logicmail.sourceforge.net/ota/index.html)

I have a large email account that I hope will not get sent to my device for work (lots of spam, better check it out if necessary). At a minimum, this touch applet allows me to connect to my regular internet computer IMAP over SSL, check all my folders and therefore my folders for email and view them. Email formatting is also quite handy.

It stays at 0.2, with no SMTP/Send support, but it’s actually write-only. But at least it’s a lot better than using the webmail interface to check mail from afar. πŸ™‚

Check it out if you find out and you’ll be pleasantly surprised. If you have BB chops and free time, perhaps your organization could borrow a line or two and do better. πŸ™‚ If you look at the SVN repository, it looks like a standard NetBeans project.

    logicmail error with sender

Since I just posted a rookie shot I’m making, I figured I’d stick with calls πŸ™‚

LogicMail now provides initial SMTP support. At the moment you can only write and post new messages. (You need to reply or forward from a specific to-do list)

For authentication, I support LOGIN, PLAIN and CRAM-MD5.
SSL is only supported if you use dedicatedth SMTP SSL port (for example, 465). The much more common “connect to port and then switch to SSL” port twenty-six is not supported and will never get past the J2ME API restrictions.

I’m also trying many different build profiles with this latest bio to support BlackBerry OS v4.0 and v4.1 (previously I only supported 4.1, but the strict difference is that 4.0 doesn’t have a Base64 encoder/corresponding decoder). . If this attempt works, it might even allow me to support v4.2 one day without breaking backwards compatibility. i

    Oh, I forgot to mention…
The email composition screen includes address book support. So click the wheel in the dropdown, select “Address Book” and search through all address book entries with associated email addresses :-)I

    Oh, I forgot to mention…
The electronic essay or abstract screen includes support for an address book. So, click the wheel in the desired address field, select “Address Book”, scroll through all the address book entries with the corresponding links to the e-mail.Thank you πŸ™‚

Thanks for sharing! new Highly appreciated.

I didn’t know the address book! Very nifty – a small UI issue that I think the alternatives you had in mind are with 4.2 above; On the Pearl 8100 (and I’m pretty sure the 8800) you click on this pearl ball and a menu pops up – To, CC, BCC, but there is no address book at all. But when you press the menu button for the delay button (like flicking the wheel on 8700 and above?), you get a choice of dishes in the address book, and it works great. πŸ™‚

Anyway, there are still many new codes. πŸ™‚

    logicmail error with sender

    Hello
LogicMail is great for discovering my email over IMAP/SSL.
I have the most trouble sending email over SMTP/SSL port 465.
I get the message “The connection is requesting a client certificate for authentication. It still cannot be found on the device”

I also see many certificates for the new 7290. I also have my own certificate.
But it only ever prompted me as a certificate. If I continue, I may get an “Error Water-output”

    Thanks for all the advice!

By the way, I don’t have a BB plan
    Thank you
    Hanyoung

I’m having trouble downloading this program when I buy an OTA link for my Blackberry Pearl. I keep getting a message that the page was not found.
Does this program currently support PDF and tif attachments.

    Hello,
I have a Blackberry with Pearl OS v4.2. I was able to install Logicmail (v4.1) with very minor issues, but when I tried to connect to my server, that task stopped and then said “I/O Error” followed by “No Records”. .
I’m wondering if I need to fine-tune my mail folders or is there an additional issue?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you

…I was trying to connect to my device, it stopped, then I got an I/O error, and then I got a “No folder” message.

Find a thread on the definition of this “APN” for your particular jar, which should solve your problem. Matt,

Thank you. Now everything works fine.

The main problem I am facingThe problem now is that even though I’m composing an email, when I enter my address book, it’s empty. Does anyone know why this is great? There are many contacts in my address book:?

Forget the last question. This is because none of my clubs had an email address 😳
